Praise To The Man

We just spent the weekend in Nauvoo, What a beautiful, spiritual place. You can't go there and not be overwhelmed with the Spirit. While we were there I got to see the Joseph Smith film that I've never seen before. Wow! Loved it. As I contemplated on his life I had the strongest feelings and desire to share the gospel. I was like in a "no fear" zone. I felt that if Joseph was completely willing to go through all that he endured and never complained or faltered, who am I to not share my testimony or invite to the gospel. I wanted to rush home and take Book of Mormon's over to all my friends who are not members of the church. How could they be offended by my sincere hope for them to find a happier life. I love that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for that this weekend. What wonderful lives and examples we have in the church to look up to and who have been our leaders and showed us the way. I feel indebted to our prophet Joseph for never thinking that the Lord was asking too much of him. Now, what is the Lord asking of me?

I love that Joseph Smith movie. He truly was an amazing man! I've only been to Nauvoo once and I was still fairly young, so I really want to go back. Devin and I will have to make a trip sometime.
