It was fun coloring eggs this year with two children. Daiken is old enough that he fully participated. There were six of us coloring eggs at our house this year because Nana and Tyson were here visiting.
Brailee colored every one of her eggs pink, of course! Daiken colored about three of our three dozen. But for some reason, the last one he couldn't part with. While everyone was still coloring eggs, he was still coloring his egg. That's right, the same egg, over and over and over again. He would soak it in the orange, and then after a while, decided it needed some yellow. So he'd pick it up with his fingers, because using the little egg dipper spoon was a hastle, and then after yellow, it was green's turn. If you tried to take it out, he'd get frustrated about it, and if you tried to put your egg on top of his, he'd get frustrated about that too. It was as if he had some special procedure he was carrying out. Funny kid. His final product turned out to be a very brown camouflage looking egg. His hands were quite a sight as well. Green fingers with bright orange fingernails. Made for some great pictures. Happy Easter from Daiken!
